How Long, O Lord, How Long

Could the United States presidential election of 2020 have been a fulfillment of prophecy? Search the scriptures, and wonder at the evidences. Many good and righteous people in the United States saw that there was plenty of election fraud. These people still believe that the outcome of the election was tragically wrong: they feel crushed because access to the voting machines and those original ballots, which would have determined whether or not there was even greater fraud, was denied, and truth was locked up, and kept vilely hidden. Every good and law abiding citizen who wanted to help to find out the truth, was treated disgracefully. Now how could such an outrageous miscarriage of justice have ever occured: and in the United States? Consider this: God does certain things for his own glory, and for his own purposes. Did God go to work orchestrating that delusional, and divisive “lie” that is referred to in prophecy? Let’s look at a verse of scripture which provides proof that God will send a lie to deceive the wicked. Although this lie is perpetuated to deceive the wicked, it also will deceive many backslidden people that have fallen into iniquity.

“For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (2Thessalonians 2:11-12).”

Obviously God is not a Republican, or a Democrat, but he is sending a lie that has everything to do with separating the people who love justice, and honesty, and truth, from those who hate it. Now let’s reason together: For quite some time now hatred and intolerance have been on full display in the United States capitol building. Shall the haters of God rule? What about the way that President Trump was treated; was it fair and balanced? And Big Tech’s censorship of him, and so many other Republicans; is this a just and fair thing to do? How about the impeachment trials, and the witch hunts; were they acts of integrity? And all the protesters, including Antifa; are they all being judged and treated equally? And the so called “cancel culture;” is it not vile? And should people be supporting criminality by helping criminals get out of prison, while at the same time they are working to put law abiding officers in prison for doing their job? According to a sworn testament of the Lord God Almighty, one day he will rise up and destroy the wicked, and at the same time he will punish all the workers of iniquity.

“Judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in our street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment (Isaiah 59:14-15).” “Is it not for you to know judgment? Who hate the good, and love the evil (Micah 3:1-2)?”

“Shall even he that hateth right govern? And wilt thou condemn the most just (Job 34:17)?” “How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? Ye shall be slain all of you (Psalm 62:3).” “The days of visitation are come, the days of recompense are come... for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred (Hosea 9:7).”

“The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil (Proverbs 16:4).” “When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever (Psalm 92:7).” “He shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness (Psalm 94:23).” “Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh (Proverbs 3:25).” “Is not destruction to the wicked? And a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity (Job 31:3)?”

“Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and I will recompense thee for all thine abominations. And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the Lord that smiteth (Ezekiel 7:8-9).”

“There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves... He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead. Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed. He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others; because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways (Job 34:22-27).”

Many prophecies of scripture confirm that there will be a period of time wherein God will turn his favor away from his people; and during that time their enemies and adversaries will rejoice over them. Is this what has been happening? Haven’t the liberals gotten quite arrogant over conservatives? Our prayers for justice, have they been answered? Are they getting through to God? Why would God ever say that he will turn away his face? The next few verses show proof and evidence concerning God’s establishment of a period of time wherein he will turn away his favor from his people.

“The Lord said... My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us? And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they wrought, in that they are turned to other gods (Deuteronomy 31:16-18).”

“My well beloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: and he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine... and now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you... What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?  ...I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: and I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and throns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry (Isaiah 5:1-7).”

“Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity... Why should you be stricken anymore? Ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint... To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? ...when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do well; seek judgment... if ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if you refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. How is the faithful city become an harlot? It was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers (from Isaiah 1:4-21).”

The eighty ninth Psalm contains documented promises which God swore to David: when David’s name appears in prophecy, it is to be used as a parable: it represents every believer that keeps God’s covenant. God swore a covenant of promises to David on that day, saying that he would bless his anointed people, and that he would protect them from their enemies, and that he would plague those who hate them. Along with those desirable promises, God, in effect, swore that he would execute punishments upon his people if they failed to keep his commandments, his judgments, and his laws. Following all of his promises to David, God placed another prophesied message concerning the days of evil wherein he will withdraw his favor from his people. In this prophecy believers are told that during the days of evil, God’s people will not be able to stand before their enemies, and they will be put to shame. Now, think about what has been happening to Republicans ever since that fateful day when the insurrectionists stormed the capitol building. Haven’t Republicans been put to shame? And President Trump: he was impeached over it. And now they are trying to cancel him, along with his millions of his supporters. And that same fateful day, why did so many Republican politicians not choose to fight for the integrity of our election? Were they simply unable to stand?

“I have found David... I anointed him... The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him... My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him... If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments... and keep not my commandments; then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail... Once I have sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David. His seed shall endure forever... But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed. Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground. Thou hast broken down all his hedges; and brought his strongholds to ruin. All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbors. Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice. Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle. Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground. The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. How long, Lord? Wilt thou hide thyself forever (from Psalm 89:20-46)?”

The prophet Isaiah delivered a host of revealing truths concerning the evil days wherein God’s people would be mistreated, and put to shame. One particular verse offers us hope: it confirms that God will only turn away from his people for a moment, and it very cleverly suggests that God will not be angry, or rebuke any of his people once that day arrives, and they hear the sound of the trumpet:

“For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer. For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee (Isaiah 54:7-9).”

What if it is true? What if these are the evil days? And what if God is ignoring the prayers of his people? Even if he said that it is only be for a short while, what should be done? Should believers just suck it up, and live in defeat, until God returns to them? What if God’s people are meant to set out and discover the reason for their estrangement; and what if they discover that reason, and they turn from their mistakes, and they obey God?

“Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms... Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born... And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms. For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully (Hosea 2:2-5).”

“Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.,, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people (Psalm 80:3-4)?” “Thou makes us a strife unto our neighbors: and our enemies laugh among themselves. Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved (Psalm 80:6-7).”

“At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them (Jeremiah 18:7-8).”

“Return, O Lord, how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil (Psalm 90:13-15).”

Much of the reason for our estrangement has already been shown in this message, however let’s spell it out plainly, so everyone can see it. The number one reason that God prepared his end time plan is to give his people a reset button. God will cause his people of every religion, including Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, to come together as one, and worship him in truth. Religion’s teachings have become corrupt: too many people, even within God’s house, are failing to know God. In the scriptures, God loudly rebukes his priests and his prophets, because of their teachings. But leaders are bound by their religious beliefs; and wicked people within the congregation are more anxious to condemn their leaders for any deviations from the church’s doctrine, then they are to learn the undeniable truth of God’s word. False teachings have serious consequences: Look at our society, it testifies to religion’s face. It might be helpful at this point to look at these things a different way: consider the battle between the Democrats and the Republicans. In the United States by the time a person reaches adulthood their political views are usually established. It is not uncommon for their decisions to reflect their parents ideals. Once they have chosen a party, people do not like to listen to the opposition’s speeches. If, by chance, they happen to hear one, anything that is heard is soon dismissed and forgotten, because the people’s minds are prejudiced against their opponents. These same basic principals are at work in religion, and for those very reasons it is pretty much impossible to persuade people of faith that their religion has made a mistake about anything. God calls all this, refusing to hear, and walking in the iniquities of our forefathers. He also condemns our ways of dismissing truth by saying that his people are worshipping another god: for they are worshipping a god whose name is called, Religion.

“I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies... Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me (Jeremiah 12:7-11).”

“Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life (Ezekiel 13:22).”

“A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their own means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof (Jeremiah 5:30-31).”

“Every founder is confounded by the graven image: his molten image is falsehood... They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish (Jeremiah 10:14-15).” “Thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood (Jeremiah 13:25).” “I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they have wrought, in that they are turned to other gods (Deuteronomy 31:18).”

“Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes (Deuteronomy 12:8).” “For then will I turn to the people to a pure language, that they may call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent (Zephaniah 3:9).” “And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them (Jeremiah 32:39).”

God testified against perversion within his house, saying that some people are advocating for violence; and others are telling lies with a deceitful tongue; and still others have wicked balances and a bag of deceitful weights. Please allow me to loosely paraphrase all this: some of God’s own people are hypocrites, and they are selfishly doing works for their own glory, and not for God. They have corrupted themselves, and God is not among them.

“The Lord hath a controversy with his people... Oh my people, what have I done unto thee? ...Testify against me ...Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights? For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins... and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee (from Micah 6:2-14).”

“Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger (Ezekiel 8:17).”

“Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you... because you have been a snare on Mizpah...  Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled. They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the Lord, The pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; and Judah also shall fall with them (Hosea 5:1-5).”

“I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face.. Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments... Which say, Stand by thyself, and come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their blossom. Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the Lord, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom (from Isaiah 65:2-7).”

Furthermore, God promised that he would do nothing until he sent forth his servants the prophets to show his people what would be done. He fulfilled that promise: however, God’s prophets, as well as his priests, are not famous, and they are not God: they are ordinary people. So the truth of God’s message is either concealed or dismissed, because it is radically different than we imagined, and it doesn’t fit into our narratives. Furthermore many people don’t have the faith to believe that God could rise up and change the world. Because of their dismissal of truth, God calls them transgressors. Here is the amazing irony of God: If you cancel God, then he will cancel you. Before looking at the evidence of all this, indulge me while I praise the clever craftiness of our God: never abandon prophecy because it contains a literal name of a person, place, and thing: although the names are true names, they were also used as an effective way to hide information until the end of time. Now they serve to offer insight and clues concerning the mysteries of end times. With some practice you will be able to discover God’s one true reason for using a particular name in prophecy, but for now here are a few parable meanings which I have discovered. God’s parable use of the name of “Judah” represents the priesthood; his parable use of the name of “Israel” represents the congregation; and his parable use of the name “Jerusalem” represents all people of every religious denomination.

“Thus saith the Lord, concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him (Micah 3:5).” “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world (Matthew 13:35).”

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets (Amos 3:7).” “They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof (Ezekiel 7:14).” “Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken (Jeremiah 6:17).”

“A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers, Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they cry unto me, I will not hearken to them (Jeremiah 11:9-11).”

“Thus saith the Lord God; because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand (Ezekiel 21:24).”

That brings us to a few major developments concerning the much anticipated, Day of the Trumpet: It is a day of rebuke and alarm against our places of worship. On this historic day God will destroy the wicked, and he will pour indignation and rebuke upon everyone that has mistreated his people: God will be blowing the trumpet. The lightning of his voice shall also go forth with the words of every priest who boldly stands up to confess God’s end time message before the congregation. The sound of the trumpet is a battle cry, and it is not the day of God’s wrath: it is only the day wherein the battle for the conversion is initiated. Before delving into the evidence of all this, it is beneficial to know a few other parable meanings of words. The words “cities” and “houses” are used by God to represent places wherein his people meet together for worship. The word “heaven” also has to do with the places of worship, however it pertains more to the religious laws that separate the people, and establish the house. And the parable word “south” represents the priesthood.

“That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress... A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers (Zephaniah 1:15-16).” “Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in the city, and the Lord hath not done it? (Amos 3:6)”

“And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south (Zechariah 9:14).”

“If ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the Lord your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies (Numbers 10:9).”

God will accomplish two major objectives on that glorious day: First of all, the destruction the wicked will safely deliver his people to the rest that God has promised for them; and God’s second objective which will be accomplished on that day is that he will create the promised “sign” that will shake the heavens, as well as all the people of earth. God’s destruction will surely cause the people to tremble: it will shake up, and wake up every Christian believer who is spiritually dead, and will cause even unbelievers to seek the Lord. Unfortunately, even after hearing the trumpet, teachers who have rejected God’s message will continue to promote false teachings: but the elect of God will not be deceived.

“Then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory (Matthew 24:30).” “The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance (Psalm 58:10).” “All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye (Isaiah 18:3).”

“I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (1Corinthians 15:51-52).” “The dead in Christ shall rise first (1Thessalonians 4:16).”

“Yet once more shake not the earth only, but also heaven (Hebrews 12:26).” “At his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation (Jeremiah 10:10).”  “Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever (Psalm 9:5).”

“To you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in a flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (2Thessalonians 1:7-8).” “For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world (Hebrews 4:3).”

“I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger (Isaiah 13:13).” “And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for the fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth (Isaiah 2:19).”

“I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord (Psalm 101:8).” “Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded (Psalm 7:6).”

“Thus saith the Lord; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more (Nahum 1:12).”

Bear in mind that God’s people consist of people of every faith, and every religion: God is changing the hearts of all believers, by changing the very foundations of their beliefs. It is an unparalleled task, therefore God began working on his master plan from the foundation of the world, or as some might say, from the day that God created righteousness. There will surely be people that will not believe God’s end time message: and in the day of his wrath, all insurrectionists will be consumed together. Their objections stem from not having spent time in God’s word: they cannot recognize his voice. Listening to God’s voice during these times is more important than ever. Reading and studying the scriptures, especially the New Testament, is our new covenant: We must study God’s word if we hope to receive God’s favor, it’s not optional. Apart from reading the scriptures, there is no salvation. Believers can conquer their own disbelief by prayerfully studying the good instruction of God’s word.

“At the same time, saith the Lord, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people (Jeremiah 31:1).” “And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me (Jeremiah 32:40).”

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do (Psalm 11:3)?” “As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation (Proverbs 10:25).” “The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them... Bless the Lord, ye his angels... that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word (Psalm 103:17-20).”

“Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity (Psalm 64:2.” “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil (Ecclesiastes 8:11).”

“I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice (Jeremiah 22:21).” “Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them: he will hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings (Micah 3:4).”

“Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honored (Proverbs 13:18).” “Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment, shall be rewarded (Proverbs 13:13).”

God has been at work delivering on the promises of prophecy. As the day of the trumpet approaches, believers perceive that it is very near: for everything God proclaimed in prophecy has been manifesting before our spiritual eyes: therefore we have confidence. God has strengthened us, and he has prepared us for this challenge. Let’s take a look at the meaning of one last parable word: God used the word “rod” in prophecy to represent the authorities that are ruling over his people, but it is more than that: it is about the words that authorities project against God’s people to keep them in submission. The prophet Ezekiel delivered a stunningly accurate prophecy which details the “rod” that would be ruling over God’s people on the day of the trumpet.  We see the enemy’s rod of wickedness that is reigning over us, and it appears to be dreadfully strong. How long, O Lord, how long?

“Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded. Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them (Ezekiel 7:10-11).”

“The rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. As for such as true aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel (Psalm 125:3-5).”

“My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth (Proverbs 3:11-12).” “It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes (Psalm 119:71).” “I know, O Lord, that thy judgments are right, and that thou hast in faithfulness afflicted me (Psalm 119:75).”
